The Lake Charles Woodworkers Club, Inc. was formed in 1989 by several area woodworkers for the purpose of education and information exchange among woodworkers in the Lake Area. Besides monthly meetings, we hold an annual party and "Show and Tell" where members can show and discuss their current projects with other members.
In addition to general woodworking topics, we occasionally have presentations from outside traditional woodwork areas. The Club is a non-profit Louisiana corporation.
Our membership includes amateur woodworkers as well as professional craftsman in the fields of wood turning, cabinet making, carving, scroll work, box making, marquetry, Intarsia and more at all levels of skills and interest. We discuss woodworking techniques and tips, tools, have periodic tool use demonstrations and show current projects. We meet generally on the second Saturday of each month.
